What are the restrictions of VIS CON 2?

A
  1. Work request approved on an individual basis
  2. Unless visual, aircraft position reports should be made
  3. No movements if TWY D + F barriers are not in place
  4. Vehicles using TWY E should report when they have replaced the D + E barriers
  5. Only use TWY F when visual with it
  6. Only use CX when continuously visual with TWY C

What are the ATC actions in VIS CON 2?

A
  1. Notify AFS and request Safeguarding
  2. Cancel free ranging
  3. Turn on the Standby generator
  4. Withdraw non essential activities from the manoeuvering area
  5. Remove all traffic from the ILS sensitive areas
  6. Select CAT 1 lighting
  7. Ensure helicopters use the runways and taxiways
  8. Do not use the Charlie vehicle roadway
  9. Inform AFS of any movements from TWY D
  10. Select stopbars for intermediate holds
  11. When AD Safeguarded, Make a general broadcast.

  1. LSB for each movement
  2. Remove all non essential vehicles and personnel from the manoeuvring area
  3. Complete an inspection 15 minutes prior to an aircraft movement
  4. No engine runs on TWY F

  1. ILS critical area to be protected by the time an aircraft is on a 6NM final
  2. All runway Stop-bars must be selected prior to any runway movements
  3. Only one movement between each set of Stop-bars
  4. Only one aircraft to remote hold on TWYs B / Z
  5. Traffic information to be passed between aircraft pushing from Stand 10 and aircraft holding at C3

A
  1. Only allow one aircraft between C3 and A1
  2. No aircraft can use TWYs B or Z unless a follow me has been arranged
  3. The follow me procedure for TWY D should be used
  4. Pilots parking on the North Apron should wait with their aircraft until LSA transport has arrived.
