LV channel pathway Lower Half
Starts from the dorsal hairy region of the great toe. (LV 1).
Running upward along the dorsum of the foot,
Passing through Zhongfeng (LV 4), 1 cun in front of the medial malleolus,
It ascends to an area 8 cun above the medial malleolus, where it runs across and behind the SP channel.
Then it runs further upward to the medial side of the knee and along the medial aspect of the thigh to the pubic hair region.
LV Channel Upper Half
It then urns upward and curves around the ST to enter the LV, its pertaining organ, and connects with the GB.
Continues to ascend, passing through the diaphragm and branching out in the costal and hypochondriac region
Ascends along the posterior aspect of the throat to the nasopharynx and connects with the “eye system”.
Running further upward, it emerges from the forehead and meets with the Du channel at the vertex
The branch which arises from the “eye system”;
Runs downward into the cheek
Curves around the inner surface of
the lips
The branch arising from the liver;
Runs into the Lu
Links with the Lu channel
LV Divergent Channel
After deriving from the LV channel on
the instep
Runs upward to the pubic region
Converges with the GB channel
LV Luo-Connecting Channel
separates from the primary channel at Lǐgōu LIV-5 on the medial aspect of the lower leg,
connects with the Gall Bladder channel,
ascends to the genitals.
