Lumbosacral angle.
Angle formed from the intersection of a horizontal line and the line of inclination of the sacrum.
Normally between 25 and 35 degrees.
What is spondylosis?
Arthritis of the vertebrae with disc and joint degeneration and bone spur growths forming “lips” on the superior and inferior edges of the vertebral bodies
What is spondylolysis?
Stress fracture of the pars interarticularis of the vertebral arch
What is spondylolisthesis?
Lumbar vertebrae slips anteriorly
What is the diagnosis of a pt with saddle anesthesia?
Cauda equina syndrome
What are the signs of cauda equina syndrome?
Saddle anesthesia
Decreased DTRs
Decreased rectal sphincter tone
Loss of bowel and bladder control
Psoas syndrome is associated with a SD in which vertebrae?
L1 or L2
Flexed
