- Dedicated to Theophilus. The account was made through talking with eyewitnesses and true disciples. Luke wants things well ordered.
- Zechariah works in the temple. An angel appears to him and tells him that he’ll have a son (to be named John).
- Mary is visited by the Gabriel.
- Mary visits Elizabeth. She sings a song to the Lord’s praise.
- John is born. Zechariah praises God and prophesies. John grows and becomes strong in spirit.
