Q

AO1 episodic

A

Episodic memories come from the prefrontal cortex
This is proven by neuro imaging evidence using pet scans. Tulving got Ps to perform memory tasks and the left side of the prefrontal cortex was where it came from this also proves that there are separate types of LTM.

AO1 episodic
AO3 KC

A

Episodic is also for experiencing feelings from our memories
KC got into a motorbike accident and his hippocampus was destroyed and he lost his episodic however he could still remember facts so his semantic was still intact. This is evidence that there’s a difference between episodic and semantic.
