A
An area of low-lying land next to a river which is likely to flood

Why does the river have slow velocity in the lower course
A
Velocity changes based on how much water touches the riverbed and banks, because more contact slows the water down.

A
Because the load has over come the river processes causing the load to break into smaller pieces
