When is it acceptable to carry out a low order?
Only when you can accept a high order
What is deflagration?
Means of gaining entry into the munition without causing unacceptable detonation.
Explosive fill is consumed/ spread out fuzes may be left in an unsafe state.
What is mechanical break up?
Explosive means of breaking open munition without burning detonating fill.
What is burning?
Achieved using high temperature incendiary charge
What us cutting and burning?
Ensure a cut is made and the fill is burnt in one operation
What are the disadvantages of projectile attack?
Safety traces/ distances
Only used on HE fill
Danger of ricochets
When cutting and burning a rocket motor which three parts do we simultaneously attack?

What is the purpose of the expanded foam layer in the crackerbarrel?
Prevents spalling
