Fuze Immunisation Flashcards
Name the three methods of immunisation currently available, what they use and what type of fuze each method would be used against?
A BD liquid- electric (ECR fuzes)
C salt solution- clockwork
J Binary gelling agent- mechanical fuzes- prevents mechanical movement
What is the purpose of immunisation?
Process by which a weapon is stopped from functioning permanently
What are the contents of BD liquid?
Red dye
Methylated spirits
Salt
Benzole
What will BD liquid do to fuzes?
Corrodes insulation and in safe, controlled manner empties the capacitor out to the sides
What is the makeup of salt solution?
Salt 170-200g
Water (lukewarm) 0.5ltr
What will salt solution do to the fuze?
Rehydrates picrate crystals
Corrodes and clogs up cogs

25hg 1 min
What length is the plastic hose cut to and how much liquid will it hold?
300mm 10cc
What are the two positions on the two way valve?
R bomb to reservoir
P bomb to pump
What two size drill bits are supplied?
4mm and 2.5mm
What checks are carried out on the bike pump?
25psi or higher
What is the purpose of luting?
Creates an sir tight seal
What agent is used for method j?
Binary gelling agent
What will method j do to the fuze?
Prevent mechanical movement
What are the soak times for all 3 methods?
A 25 mins
C 45 mins
J 45 mins
