3. RN aware/Dept aware for any STAT’s
4. Check and double check patient’s name
5. Transcribe the order onto the Kardex/MAR
6. Addressograph & complete the requisition from the Physician’s order and include the following:

• room and bed #
• date to be done
• time to be done
• diagnosis
• ordered by
• test name
• any miscellaneous information prn

7. STAT” on requisition in RED INK prn
8. Check patient Medication Profile/MAR to see if patient on any anticoagulation medications
9. Attach labels/stickers prn
10. Symbolize each lab order on the PO with K, RMO, MAR
    (RN aware/Dept aware prn)
11. Put requisition in pick up slot for lab or send to lab via tube/fax
12. Complete Daily Bloodwork Card prn
13. Sign Off
14. Stuff chart prn
15. Flag chart for RN
