(a) Intensify our efforts to identify the requirements and capabilities in org, equipment and training to meet the demands of LIC.
(b) Formulate and continue to refine our operation and training doctrines/techniques.
(c) Maintain an adequate number of trained persons in language, intelligence skills, aptitude and regional background of potential areas.
(d) Identify and standardize the procedures for coordination with ministries/govt agencies and intelligence organizations. This will facilitate joint planning and integrated application of all resources to combat LIC.

(a) Collection of intelligence about militants, political leaders supporting the movement, background information, organization of militants, their arms,
ammunitions, training and motivation;
(b) Recruitment/provisioning of interpretations and interrogators.
(c) Terrain information.
(d) Preparation for psychological operations and propaganda.
(e) Issue and collection of special sector stores required for the operations in the likely area(s).
