maitain speed to the IAF
Follow the published descent profile, if no profile for example “ATC will assign altitudes” then maitain altitude until TOD

Unless the STAR specifically mentions a Hold (Very Rare)

Then never hold on a STAR. The race track patterns published are let down race tracks, not holds.
