Case Management
Key coordinating function in the Long Term Care system. Matches client needs with available services that are likely to best address those needs regardless of whether they are obtained within the LTC sector or from the non-LTC sector.
Quality of Life
Multifaceted concept that recognizes at least 5 factors; lifestyle pursuits, living environment, clinical palliation, human factors, and personal choices.

PERS
provides a cost-effective mechanism that enables at-risk elderly persons to summon help in an emergency

Rules for need assessment and referral for community-based or institutional services
