  • Build cycle lanes & set up cycle hire schemes.
  • Introducing congestion charges can discourage drivers from entering busy city centres.
  • Widen roads to allow more traffic to flow easily.
  • Build ring roads and bypasses to keep through traffic out of city centres.

A

-London is one of the world’s most congested cities, with rising construction activity the major cause. Increases in the number of delivery vans has also contributed as people turn to ecommerce.

-East Village is the former Athlete’s Village built for the 2012 London Olympics. It consists of nearly 3,000 homes, around half of which are ‘affordable’.
