How would you carry out a flame test?
A
Clean a nichrome wire by dipping it in concentrated HCl and hold it in a hot Bunsen burner flame.
When the wire is clean, dip the wire in HCl and a small amount of the solid being tested so that it sticks.
Place the wire into the flame and observe the colour of the flame.
