- L.N palpation.

LN Inspection
For swelling in anatomical sites
LN palpation items
Characters of LN swelling
- At anatomical site of LN
- usually > 1 swelling (multiplicity)
- moves in 2 directions: up & down + from side to side.
Method of examination of LN
- Use the palmer surface of middle 3 fingers.
- Move the LN in rolling manner.
- LN better to be palpated against resistance as a bone.
Cervical LN
Supra-clavicular LN
Axillary LN
Epi-trochlear LNs
lies half inch (about 1 cm) above the medial epicondyle of the humorous
Inguinal LNs
Popliteal LNs
Lies in the popliteal fossa along popliteal artery.
