Indications
A
“Garry Can’t Read”
GCS 3 and poor airway despite jaw thrust, OPA and NPA insertion.
Cardiac Arrest providing a ETT cannot be placed.
Rescue airway following failed intubation.

A
“Garry Ate Umbrellas After Tea” Gagging Active vomiting Airway distorted from trauma or pre existing condition. Trismus.

“Robert Actually Liked Leftover Chicken Until Nancy Gagged” Regurgitation Aspiration LMA kinked or dislodged Laryngospasms Cough Upper airway trauma Not a good seal or ventilations Gas insufflation of the stomach

Procedure
A
Gather and assemble equipment
Attach ETCo2 to the monitor to calibrate
Deflate cuff and apply lube to anterior aspect
Insert
Inflate cuff
Put on bag mask
Check correct position
