Insufficient personnel and/ space to extricate with pt spine in alignment

If pt condition is time critical

Take time to apply KED
Restricts pt are
Increase pain for pt with fractures to their torso, pelvis and legs.

Procedure
A
C-collar
Prepare KED
Green, yellow, red, white and black, padding, forehead straps
Ensure they are tight
Release leg straps prior to the pt lying down
