Ready To Start Permissive

A
  1. Most remote bearing lube oil pressure greater than 13.5 psig.
  2. Ngg less than 3500 RPM.
  3. MRG Turning gear disengaged.
  4. UEC Plus system reset.
  5. Throttle at idle.
  6. Motor Reg Valve in the start position and not being used by another engine.
  7. Clutch cover in place

  2. Fuel Manifold Pressure (FMP) must be greater than 50 PSIG

What reasons should you abort start?

A
  1. No lube oil pressure prior to 1100 RPM
  2. Fail to reach 1200 RPM in 20 Seconds (UEC initiated)
  3. Fail to light off, T5.4 fails to reach 400 F and FMP fails to reach 50 PSI in 40 seconds after fuel valve opened. (UEC initiated).
  4. Compressor Stall
  5. T5.4 rapidly approaches or exceeds 1350F during start
  6. Time to idle exceeds 90 seconds. (UEC initiated)
  7. GTM L/O pressure fails to reach 10 psig 45 seconds after start

A
  1. 5 min on 2min off any number of cycle

2. 5 min on 18 min off in any 30 min cycle

A
  1. 45 sec on 2 min off any number of cycle
  2. 2min on 5 min off
  3. 2min on 21 min off within 30min period.
