List Views Flashcards
What are list views?
List views are used to quickly segment lists of records and they allow you to action multiple records at the same time (change owner on multiple records/accept all records in a queue). Can create custom views of records (i.e. my leads in last 7 days).
Can visibility to views be tailored by the SF Administrator?
Yes, the SF Admin can create and manage visibility in Public List views (e.g. all users, only to me, certain groups of users).
Can users create their own views?
Users can create their own views but they cannot be shared with others.
Can you use Dynamic Filters in List Views?
Yes, some Dynamic Filters are able to be used (e.g. Date Values for Filter Criteria).
Do List Views impact Security?
List Views DO NOT impact security. If a users cannot view a record, it will NEVER appear within a list view. Meaning, two users can have different results appear within the same list view because their access is set differently (same with Reports).
What is the difference between a List View and a Report?
A List View is used to quickly segment and then take action on records.
A Report is used to summarize record data for analysis.
What are the Literal Date Values for Filter Criteria that can be used in List Views?
