what happens in the link reaction?
A
each pyruvate is a 3 carbon molecule.
the pyruvate is dehydrogenated ( h atom removed) the hydrogen joins with NAD to form reduced NAD
pyruvate is then decarboxylated to form a 2 carbon molecule (acetate) which combines with coenzyme A to form acetyl co enzyme A

how many times does the link reaction occur ?
A
2 pyruvates produced by glycolysis so the link reaction and krebs cycle occur twice per glucose molecule
