Transmission Limitations

  • limited by Nr, torque, oil P, oil T (whichever is reached first
  • prolonged hovering in hot wx (95°F) and high gross weight may cause temps to rise in yellow range. ops in this range for less than 30 minutes during any one flight is acceptable.
  • oil limits:
    • level flt = 45-60 psi.
      • steady pressure outside 45-60 but within normal limits f 30-65
      • fluctuations not to exceed a range of 10psi, within normal limits of 30 to 65.
      • during transient pitch or nose high attitudes xmsn oil pressure fluctuations (including momentary below 30psi and transient drops below 20psi for up to 1 sec) are acceptable. operating with pressure fluctuations below 30psi SHALL be limited to 30 min.
