Motoring
Two starts with three (3) minutes cooling between, then 25 minutes cooling before subsequent starts.
Motoring: Three 30-second ventilations with 3 minutes cooling between each, then a one-hour cooling period before subsequent starts or motoring.
Time to light off
Max time with engaged starter engaged
Time to light-off (from initial Ng rotation to ITT rise), 20 seconds maximum.
Maximum time with engaged starter is 70 seconds of which max 30 seconds plain motoring.
Flap Fault or Flap lights on
if flaps are split
- The split may be reduced by re-selecting previous flap setting
HYDR Light on
If ember and main pressure are both Low
Caution leave flaps in actual position
When speed below 200 kts
- HYDR Pump Switch —Off
- Check Hydraulic Indicators
If ember and main pressure are both Low
Caution leave flaps in actual position
When speed below 200 its - Landing Gear Handle–Down
- Emerg LDG Handle— Pull
Hydraulic Fluid Loss
- HYDR Pump Switch—-OFF
No Light Up, start sequence Interupted, Hung start, Hot start
- Condition Lever—- Fuel Off

- Motor Engine to ITT below 175 c or for minimum of 10 seconds
Engine Shutdown
- Power Lever—- Reduce to 20-30%
- Condition Lever—- Fuel OFF
ITT above 540c or combustion after shut down motor until 175c
Propeller not feathered ensure Auto coarsen switch is off and set propeller pump switch to main feather, hold until full featherd position
Compressor Stall
- CTOT—-OFF
- Turn CTOT knob gently fully counter clockwise then select CTOT switch OFF
- Power—Reduce to 20-30%
- Retard Power Lever Slowly
Uncommanded Engine Operation
- Power—–Reduce to 20-30%
- If erratic TRQ indication set PL approx 1/2” above FLT IDLE
Caution keeping condition lever in T/M position will cause fuel to be vented overboard
- Condition lever—–T/M then Set
- Autocoarsen—-OFF
Engine Fire
- Power Lever—–Reduce 20-30
- Condition Lever— Fuel OFF
- Fire Handle—– Pull
- Fire EXTG Switch—- ON
Fire still on after 30 sec, discharge fire EXTG on opposite side
Feather Prop, ensure auto coarsen switch is off and set pro pump switch to MAN Feather, hold until fully feathered
