Severe Turbulence Penetration Target Speed
280 KIAS/.76M*
AIR CONDITIONING
With either one or both engine BLEED air switches on, do not operate air conditioning packs
in HIGH for takeoff, approach or landing.
NOTE: Non-normal procedures take precedence over the restriction from operating air
conditioning pack in HIGH during takeoff, approach or landing. The CARGO FIRE
and SMOKE/ FUMES REMOVAL checklists require placing the operating pack
switch(es) to HIGH in order to increase ventilation for smoke removal.
Engine Anti Ice
The engine anti-ice system must be __ during all ground and flight operations when icing
conditions exist or are anticipated, except during climb and cruise below ___.
Engine anti-ice must be ___ prior to and during descent in all icing conditions, including
temperatures below ___.
ON / -40°C SAT.
ON / -40°C SAT.
AUTOMATIC FLIGHT
AUTOPILOT
Do not engage the autopilot below 1000 ft AGL on takeoff. (AFM/ASA)
For single channel operation during approach, the autopilot shall not remain engaged below
50 ft AGL. (AFM).
For manually flown HGS AIII approach, the autopilot shall not remain engaged below 500
ft AGL.
Use of aileron trim with autopilot engaged is prohibited. (AFM).
The Autopilot / Flight Director system has been certified for Category II and III Automatic Approach and Landing operations. (AFM)
CIRCUIT BREAKERS (ASA)
Do not reset a tripped fuel quantity indication system circuit breaker under any circumstance.
ENGINES
Warm-up : Cool-Down
Warm-up :Engines must be operated for a minimum of 3 minutes prior to takeoff. (ASA)
Cool-Down: Engines must be operated at or near idle (taxi thrust acceptable) for a
minimum of 3 minutes prior to shutdown. (ASA)
ENGINE EGT (AFM)
Maximum Time Limit for Takeoff Thrust 5 minutes*
10 minutes allowed in the event of the loss of thrust on one engine during.
ENGINE IGNITION
ENGINE START switches must be in the CONT position for:
Takeoff
• Landing
• Anti-ice operation
• Operation in freezing precip or hail, sleet or moderate to heavy rain
ENGINE IGNITION (AFM/ASA)ENGINE START switches must be in the FLT position for:
• Operation in severe turbulence
NOTE:
When checklists call for “Start Switches… ON,” use either CONT or FLT as appropriate for the
existing flight operation.
Reverse Thrust
Intentional selection of reverse thrust in flight is prohibited
APU LOAD - Bleed and Electric
10,000 ft
APU LOAD - Bleed Only
17,000 ft
APU- Electric Only
41,000 ft
APU - MAX operating altitude
41,000 ft
APU GENERAL - Ensure ble3ed air switch is closed for _____ minute(s) after start and for ___ minute(s) prior to shutdown
2 / 1
When APU switch is moved to OFF, this time delay is met automatically.
APU bleed valve may be open during engine start, but avoid engine power above idle.
Except for engine start, the APU bleed valve must be closed when another source is pressurizing left bleed air duct
Flaps -Max flap extension Altitude
20,000 ft
Flaps - Holding in icing conditions with flaps extended is…
PROHIBITED
SPEED BRAKES - Do not deploy speed brakes in flight below?
1000 ft.
In flight do not extend speed brake lever beyond the ____ Detent
Flight
Do NOT deploy speed brakes with more than ____ extended
Flap 10
Load Alleviation System (700/900)
Manually overriding the load alleviation system is?
NOT authorized
Min fuel tank temp:
- minus 37 degrees
* Unless actual freeze point is known
Allowable lateral imbalance between main tank 1 and 2 must be scheduled to ____.
Transient fuel imbalance must not exceed _______ lbs. for taxi, takeoff, flight or landing.
zero / 1000 lbs
Center Fuel Tank Pumps
For ground ops- CTFP switches must positioned ___
UNLESS…
__________.
CTFP must not be on unless _______.
ON
CT fuel quantity exceeds 1000 lbs, except when defueling or transferring fuel.
(So if you don’t have 1000 lbs… they should be off…)
personnel are available in the flight deck to monitor LOW PRESSURE lights.
**For ground and flight ops, the corresponding center tank fuel pump switch must be position OFF when the LOW PRESSURE annunciator light illuminates. Of the center tank is empty, position both CTFP switches to OFF.
Hydraulics: Ground Ops of electric hydraulic pumps requires minimum of ___ lbs. in respective fuel tank.
1675 lbs.
