What happens when ANN LIGHTS
test switch is pressed and held?
All lights and digital readouts illuminate in cockpi
except for fire handles, fuel switch lights
PASSENGER OXYGEN ON light, EMER & MIC
selections on ACP’s, and red light on ELT switch
panel. In addition, Cabin Pressure Indicating pane
indicates all 8’s and cabin rate of climb pointe
rotates counterclockwise to 6000 fpm down.

What happens when MASTER
CONTROL knob on COCKPIT
LIGHTS panel is rotated clockwise
from OFF to small tick mark?
Aircraft is configured for night flying: as knob i
rotated from OFF to nighttime setting, annunciato
lights dim and panel backlighting illuminates.

to ORIDE?
Full clockwise rotation brings all annunciato
lights to full bright and further rotation to ORIDE

ORIDE switch on side console panel?
Used as alternate means for turning off vestibule o
companionway lights for aircrew convenience

Describe function of RAMP light
switch in baggage compartment.
It illuminates pylon lights for loading bags and
possibly for maintenance related activities: one
light shines out from under each pylon.

Do utility lights in tail compartment
need to be turned OFF prior to exiting
the compartment?
No, they extinguish when tail compartment door i
closed unless the switch in baggage compartmen
is also selected to ON.

What’s the purpose of beacon /
recognition light?
When illuminated, it alerts outside observers tha
something is powered. During flight, it function
as warning and recognition light.

How many strobe lights are on G650?
Three (3) LED assemblies: one (1) light assembly
installed in aft portion of the tailcone and one (1
in each wing tip.

How would you know if Nav or strobe
has failed?
A fault indicator light is integrated into each
assembly and provides indication of LED failure.
For single LED failure, the light illuminates solid
amber color which indicates that servicing is
required. For multiple LED failures, the light
flashes and clearly alerts ground crews that aircraft
cannot be dispatched.

Describe the landing lights on G650
They’re fixed aim, one on each side, mounted in a
light tunnel. They’re high intensity discharge
lamps: not LED.

When is use of landing lights
recommended?
Strongly encouraged for takeoff and landing and
during any operations below 10,000’ or within 10
NM of airport.

When do taxi lights automatically
extinguish?

There are a number of exterior
evacuation lights provided to assist
passengers while exiting the airplane
in the dark. Where are they located?
There are three (3) overwing lights for each wing,
two (2) underwing lights mounted on wing to body
fairing, and a main entry door light.
