What are the safe working practices when using the LPP?

Full PPE
Only operated in open air
4 person lift as it weight 84kg
Check ground is free from any debris or sharp objects as it may damage fuel tank
Vacuum must not be maintain no longer than 3 minutes as it can cause damage to the primer
The LPP not to be run against a closed delivery
The engine must not be started unless the pump casing is full of water or the pump will seize with 30 seconds
Should be operated on level ground because of the tilt switch
Make sure priming valve is closed before obtaining water

How to operate the LPP from open water
Attach required lengths of hard suction
Make sure delivery is closed and the drain valve is closed
Make sure yellow priming valve is left open
Prime until a small quantity is ejected at base of primer
Close priming valve
How to operate the LPP from pressure fed or supply of hydrant
Make sure all valves are closed
Got collecting head
Connect water supply
Turn of water supply
Weekly inspection consists of?
Checking oil and fuel levels
Look for corrosion/damage/defects
Check condition of the frame and carry handles
Check function and condition of valves and gauges
Check condition of delivery outlet
