Ligaments of the Upper Limb Flashcards
Sternoclavicular Ligament
Manubrium to Sternal end clavicle
Interclavicular Ligament
Between clavicles and middle on suprasternal notch
Costoclavicular Ligament
1st rib to Sternal end clavicle
Conoid Ligament
Posterior angle clavicle to angle of coracoid process
Trapezoid Ligament
Coracoid process to lateral 1/3 clavicle (2 attachments on clavicle)
Acromioclavicular Ligament
Acromial end clavicle to acromion
Coracoacromial Ligament
Acromion to coracoid process (2 attachments on coracoid process)
Superior Transverse Scapular Ligament
Across suprascapular notch
Coracohumeral Ligament
Coracoid process to proximal lesser tubercle of humerus
Glenohumeral Ligament (Superior, middle, inferior)
Neck of scapula to circumference of proximal humeral epiphysis
Transverse Humeral Ligament
Between lesser and greater tubercles across bicipital groove
Radial Collateral Ligament
Anterior: Lateral epicondyle to anterior articulating circumference of radius
Posterior: Lateral epicondyle to posterolateral olecranon
Annular Ligament of Radius
Anterolateral coronoid process of ulna, around articulating circumference of radius, to lateral olecranon
Ulnar Collateral Ligament (Elbow)
Anterior: Medial epicondyle to medial olecranon and coronoid processes of the ulna
Posterior: Posterior surface of medial epicondyle to medial olecranon process (large attachment)
Transverse: Proximal medial olecranon to medial olecranon and coronoid processes of the ulna
Extensor Retinaculum
Circumference of distal radius and ulna, and proximal carpal bones
