Fastest method for moving a victim a short distance over a smooth surface
Ankle Pull
Preferred to ankle pull; requires rescuer to bend over at waist
Shoulder Pull
Preferred method for dragging a victim
Blanket Pull
Only works with a child or a very light person
One-Person Lift
Carrying victim for longer distances; requires a very strong rescuer or an assistant
Firefighter Carry
Alternative to firefighter carry; better for longer distances than one-person lift

For both conscious and unconscious victim; quick and easy way to move a victim out of immediate danger
Human Crutch / Two-Person Drag
Carrying conscious and alert victims (can stand unsupported and hold themselves upright) for moderate distances
Four-Handed Seat
Carry a victim longer distance; can support an unconscious victim
Two-Handed Seat
Carrying victims through narrow or uneven areas
Chair Carry
For chair carry, avoid these materials:

Requires two poles / pipes and at least two shirts
Improvised Stretcher
Requires two poles and a blanket
Blanket Stretcher
