What does ecological sustainability mean?
It refers to the capacity of the biosphere to meet the needs of the present generation, without hindering future generations from being able to meet their needs. This means using our natural resources wisely in the short-term so that these resources are available in the long-term.
Why is the Atmosphere critical to life on Earth?
It acts like a blanket and moderates surface temperatures.
Why are scientists concerned about the disappearance of frogs?
Frogs have been around for so long and have survived so much that whatever is killing them must be serious. They also show the health of their aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
What fungus was harming the frogs?
Kitchrid fungus.
What is the earth made up of?
78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen and <1% argon, water vapour, carbon dioxide and other gases.
What is the atmosphere made up of?
Troposphere, stratosphere and mesosphere.
