Repoussé is a technique in which detail is made using a hammer and nail. Detail is hammered into the inside of the ring, so the images are raised upwards.
What does the gold ring from Knossos show
It shows a group of women dancing in the countryside with their arms raised(possibly Meanads). A small figure (a god) floats in the top left showing a cult ritual.

The gold jewellery and valuable metals confirmed the social status of the Mycenaean aristocrats in their effort to equal the dynasts of the East.
