How Did Life improve in the Golden age?
woman started to gain equality, Art blossomed, Science improved.
How did life not improve during the Golden age?
There was still unrest between left ad right with art and politics, There was a class divide, People thought that the government were spending to much money on the unemployed, Education stayed the same.
The occupation of the Ruhr
By 1923 Germany had not paid the amount specified by the allies, France and Belgium took over the Ruhr (the treat of V allowed them to do this legally). They wanted to seize raw materials in reparations for the money not paid. The government ordered workers in the Ruhr to stop working as passive resistance and the french were defeated. however Germany was impacted highly.
How did Germany Suffer economically (how much was money worth? why? etc)
Germany printed more money and they went in to inflation. worth of currency went down and goods went up, then turned to hyperinflation in less than a year such that normally $1=4 marks and in November of the same year $1=4.2 trillion marks due to the occupation of the Ruhr. People needed a wheel barrow of money to buy one loaf of bread.
How was each class effected by hyperinflation. (what about people in dept?)
Working class wages could not keep up and they were paid very little and trade unions were wiped out. The middle class lost savings and may lost their businesses, people in the middle class may have had items that were worth more than money. The upper class and industrial owners prospered. People in dept benefited as it was worth the much less now.
