What is homeostasis?
Balanced or stable
What does the first R stand for?
Respiration, which gives you energy
What does the second R stand for?
Regulation, which controls and coordinates
What does the third R stand for?
Reproduction, which is making new individuals
*Not necessary for an individual organism to do so
What does the G stand for?
Growth, an increase in number and size
What does the E stand for?
Excretion, removal of cellular/metabolic waste
What does the N stand for?
Nutrition, to obtain nutrients for the life functions
What does the T stand for?
Transport, to absorb and circulate
What does the S stand for?
Synthesis, Combining small molecules to make larger ones
