Wickham striae (white, lace-like patterns in buccal mucosa)

What are the histological features of lichen planus?
A
Hypergranulosis (thickening of granular layer)
Irregular saw-tooth epidermis (not wavy)
Inflammatory cell below basal layer

What is the management of lichen planus?
A
Self limiting condition over 12-18 months
Treat symptomatically with topical steroids/oral steroids if extensive
