What are the privileges of an EASA CPL?
PPL(A) privileges
Act as PIC or co-pilot of any non CAT aeroplane flight
Act as PIC of any single pilot CAT aeroplane flight
Act as co-pilot in commercial air transport

PIC on commercial flights non transport

How long is the CPL valid for?
Indefinitely, it’s
Can you still fly if your class 1 medical is expired?
Can be deferred for single 6 month period for non-commercial operations.
Class 2 may still be valid - can fly PPL privileges only
If you start needing corrective lenses what action should you take?
Inform AME
How long too ill to fly before required to inform CAA and consider medical suspended.
Must inform CAA on the 21st day of illness
What is the validity period of a type rating or MEP rating?
1 year
