What is a call number?
A
A combination of letters and numbers that you usually find on a book spine (side of a book). Like an address, a call number can tell us where a book is located in the library, and also give us general information on a book’s subject.

Library of Congress classification system (LC). The LC system consists of 21 main categories. Within each category a re subclasses that provide more information on the subject of the book.
