Q

what does Robert Nozick say on liberatrianism?

A

“Individuals have rights and there are things no person or group may do to them (without violating their rights). So strong and far-reaching are these rights that they raise the question of what, if anything, the state and its officials may do. How much room do individual rights leave for the state?”

Q

what did Rand say on liberatarianism?

A

“If the “conservatives” do not stand for capitalism, they stand for and are nothing: they have no goal, no direction, no political principles, no social ideals, no intellectual values, no leadership to offer anyone. Yet capitalism is what the “conservatives” dare not advocate or defend. They are paralyzed by the profound conflict between capitalism and the moral code which dominates our culture: the morality of altruism.”

Q

How does liberatarianism align with traditional conservatism?

A

→ By disengaging the economy, the state could focus on true purpose of order, security
→ Free market economy will be a prosperous economy which will promote ‘popular capitalism’ and destroy socialism & fund greater state spending on police, armed forces vital to the defence of a conservative society.
