Significance of raised ALP vs ALT?

A

Increases must be significant
ALT > ALP: Hepatocellular damage
ALP > ALT: Obstructive (cholestatic)
ALT = ALP (both significant) = both HC and Obstructive

A

Assess biliary tree damage = obstruction of bile.
