How do you refer to the temperature of the weather?
Use avere caldo/freddo for people:
la studentessa ha caldo.
Use essere caldo/freddo to describe things.
Questo caffè è freddo
For weather, use fare caldo/freddo.
Oggi non fa freddo
Sempre and spesso are placed where in relation to the verb?

When do you use “mai” in a sentence?

Where does mai fall in relation to the verb?
Use mai (ever) in a question, and non…mai in questions OR statements.
In both cases, mai usually follows the verb.
“Hai mai sonno a lezione?”
Are you ever sleepy in class?
“La professoressa non ha mai torto.”

The verb “piacere”
“Conjugate” piacere as it would be when it’s the direct object in a sentence.
piacere:
With singular noun or infinitive.:
Mi piace Ci piace
Ti piace Vi piace
Le/Gli/Le Piace Gli piace
With plural noun:
Mi piacciono Ci piacciono
Ti piacciono Vi piacciono
Le/Gli/Le piacciono Gli piacciono
When using piacere, what do you use to specify to whom you are referring to?
You use a + [name/noun] instead of a pronoun (mi ti gli, etc) to specify someone.
A Stefano non piacciono gli esami.
Stefano doesn’t like exams.
Agli studenti piace la neve.
The students like snow.
*be sure to use the definite article with nouns in this structure (lo, gli, la, le, etc)
