  • Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any component.
  • Use caution and reduced dosages and patient with impaired renal function.
  • Therapy should be withdrawn slowly to minimize the potential of triggering a seizure.
  • Levitracetam is excreted in human breast milk therefore use caution and nursing mothers.
  • Pregnancy Category C

A
  • May cause dizziness or drowsiness.
  • Use care when operating machinery or a mental alertness is required.
  • Do not stop therapy unless directed to do so by physician.
  • Do not stop therapy abruptly; treatment should be tapered over time.
  • If a dose is missed, take as soon as it is remembered then return to normal dosing schedule. Do not double doses.
