Affect
Definition: To make a change or have an impact on something (verb).
Example: “The weather can affect how you feel.”
Effect
Definition: The result or change caused by something (noun).
Example: “The medicine had a good effect on my health.”
Appropriate
Definition: Suitable or right for a particular situation.
Example: “Wearing a suit is appropriate for a formal event.”
Build confidence
Definition: To make yourself feel more sure and positive about your abilities.
Example: “Speaking in front of the class helps me build confidence.”
Barely
Definition: Only just; almost not.
Example: “I barely had time to finish my homework.”
Determine
Definition: To find out or decide something after thinking about it.
Example: “We need to determine the best time to meet.”
Empathetic
Definition: Understanding and sharing the feelings of others.
Example: “She is very empathetic and listens carefully to her friends.”
Except
Definition: Not including; other than.
Example: “I like all fruits except bananas.”
Accept
Definition: To agree to take something or receive it.
Example: “I will accept the invitation to the party.”

Definition: To talk about other people’s private lives or share unimportant news.
