Infinitive verbs - respond in English
Verbs prefaced by -To- . To want, to know, etc. are just one word in Spanish and always end in -er, -ar, or -ir. The ending is always emphasized. Object pronouns such as ‘ it, him, her, them hook onto the end of infinitive verbs.
To do.
Hacer. H is not pronounced.
To do it.
Hacerlo
Object Pronouns
Little words like - it, him, her, them, hook onto the end of the infinitive verbs. In all other cases, the pronouns precede the verb such as - lo necesito, lo quiero, lo tienes, etc, but they go after the infinitive verbs. Infinitive verbs are verbs prefaced by TO, such as To do (hacer). So if you wanted to say I want to do it, this would be Quiero hacerlo.
To know it.
Saberlo (Saber is ‘to know’. And ‘lo’ is ‘it’. The object pronoun attaches to the end of the infinitive verb ‘Saber (to know) to get ‘Saberlo’ which mean ‘To know it.’)
I want to know it.
Quiero saberlo.
I want to do it.
Quiero hacerlo.
I want to do it. (Emphasis on I)
Yo quiero hacerlo.
Why do you want to do it?

Do you have it? (Note this is not an infinitive verb)
Lo tienes?
Do you know?
Sabes?
Do you know it?
Lo sabes?
It’s important to know it.
Es importante saberlo. (Note that {to know- is an infinitive verb (saber) and the object pronoun {it, him, her, them, etc, will alway hook onto the end of the Infiniti I’ve verb. In this case, [it - means lo] so saberlo means to know it.
