If you say the probe isnt clean and dry
If you respond NO to the question IS THE PROBE CLEAN AND DRY? The screen will show REMOVE AND CLEAN THE PROBE
Once disinfection is cleared to begin, it will show progress on the machine’s screen indication DISINFECTING
Once the cycle is finished the screen will say CYCLE COMPLETE REMOVE PROBE
The device will also sound an audible alarm
Wear gloves before touching items inside the chamber due to potential residual peroxide

If device states cycle failed
Start new disinfection cycle from the beginning
Even if the torphon indicates COMPLETE CYCLE a
Manual inspection of the chemical indicator must be done
If the disinfection is successful
If the disinfection is successful, remove the probe and wipe with a dry single use cloth to remove any residual peroxide
Also visually inspect the probe
Gloves can now be removed
The probe is ready for use and can be placed in storage area. The clean ultrasound probe cover & sticker can be used if part of the policies of your department
The chemical indicator can be placed in garbage
