When these are used, the participants will be offered to have their data withdrawn from the research if wished.
What is presumptive consent?
A substitute for voluntary informed consent, it is presumed that if one set of people regard an experimental procedure as acceptable, this opinion is presumed upon the whole population.
What is prior general consent?
This is obtaining apparent consent from research participants by arranging for them to agree in general to taking part in certain kinds of research before enlisting their involvement in an experiment
