Profit is an output, not a purpose.
Companies with a purpose beyond tend to make more money.
Business needs Purpose than Profit to make it Through.
What is the purpose of doing business if it is not being profitable? The
starting point of great companies is Purpose.
Four Types of Purpose:
Discovery
Excellence
Altruism
Heroism-
is rooted in intuition that life is a kind of adventure
Discovery
implies standards and purports the belief that
excellent performance in our role in life represent the supreme
good.
Excellence
is a purpose built in serving its customers in a way that
is beyond standard obligation.
Altruism
demonstrate achievement, often with a charismatic and
visionary leader.

Is an organization that applies commercial strategies to
maximize improvements in human and environmental
well- being.
Social Enterprise
Three Factors which can frame the business
philosophy of a social enterprise
The extent to which it engages in ethical review of the goods and
services it produces, and its production processes.
The extent to which it defines its social purpose , and evidences its
social impact
The extent to which it democratizes ownership, management and
governance by passing control of its human, social, and financial
capital to its primary stakeholders.
Three useful tips that are the backbone of the company:
Educate yourself
If your employees are happy, your business is happy
Be a conscious capitalist
Are individuals with innovative solutions to society’s more pressing
social problems.
Find what is not working and solve the problem by changing the
system , spreading the solution, and persuading the entire societies to
move in different directions.
Present user-friendly , understandable, and ethical ideas that engage
widespread support in order to maximize the number of citizens that
will stand up , seize their idea, and implement it.
