The tetragrammaton is the Hebrew name for G-d. it is the distinctive personal name for the God of Isreal. It is pronounced as Yahweh or Jehovah. Generally, Jewish people do not pronounce the tetragrammaton when written in scripture, instead replacing the name with Adona (Lord) or Hashem (The/His Name). when writing G-d in Judaism, many elect to leave the vowel out in recognition and reverence for the veneration of G-d’s name in the Jewish religion.

Submission to Allah – one of the five pillars of Islam

A

Islam is submission to Allah. This submission begins in the Name of Allah, The compassionate merciful. Compassion which is a condition of the heart is inseparable from mercy which is an act of compassion. The First verse that follows will be the praise and thanks to Allah, which will be grasped throughout the message of the Quran, in every condition. So in submission to Allah, it is ever and ever Alhamdu lillahi Rabbil Aalameen, i.e.The Praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

The first pillar of Islam is the “The Shahadah”, also spelled “The Shahada”. It comes from the Arabic word “الشَهَادة” which means “The Testimony”, the testimony that none has the right to be worshiped but Allah (SWT) and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah (SWT). It is the Islamic creed, which is a statement of belief.
