What menu command lets you add tracks to your session? What keyboard shortcut can you use the access this command?
Click Track > New or Command+Shift+N.
How many tracks can you add at one time?
Whatever your system will allow.
Describe some primary tracks types available in Pro Tools. Describe the two types of Folder tracks.
- Audio tracks: audio signal as a waveform
- MIDI tracks: store MIDI note and controller data.
- Instrument tracks: combines the functions of MIDI & Auxiliary inputs
- Video tracks: add or import video to Timeline
- Auxiliary input: mixer channel
- VCA Master tracks: tracks in Mix group can be controlled by VCA Master
- Master fader: a single fader used to control hardware output levels and bus paths
- Basic Folder: Purely for organization.
- Routing Folder: Signal routing of an Aux Input track, along with mixing controls and associated automation controls in the Edit and Mix windows.

What happens to the audio and MIDI data on a track when the track gets deleted from your session?
Can the Track > Delete command be undone? (pg 72)
The clip data will remain in the Clip List, but your arrangement of the clips on the deleted tracks will be lost.

Playback: Non-blinking
Edit: Blinking
Which tool can be used to set the playback point by clicking directly on a track?
Selector tool.
What is the Playback Cursor Locator used for? Where will the Playback Cursor Located appear (in what Ruler)?
To locate the playback cursor.
It will appear in the Main Timebase, on the left edge if the playback cursor is located before the visible area; on the right edge if the playback cursor is located after the visible area.
What is the purpose of the Save As command? Which session will be opened after completing the Save As command - the original or the renamed copy?
To Save a Copy of the session.
Renamed copy will be opened.
