0.1 to 0.2 g/50 kg b.w. oral qid

0.55 mg/kg oral

Codeine in dog:
0.1 to 0.3 mg/kg oral tid
ANTITUSSIVES:
Dextromethorphan in dog/cat:
1 – 2 mg/kg oral bid
MUCOLYTICS
Acetylcysteine in dog:
50 ml/hr (of 10% aqueous solution) for
30 – 60 min bid by nebulization
MUCOLYTICS
Acetylcysteine in cat:
140 mg/kg IV repeat q6h at 70 mg/kg for
7 treatments
MUCOLYTICS
Acetylcysteine in horse/ruminant:
2 – 5 ml/50 kg (of 10% solution) bid or
tid as aerosol
MUCOLYTICS:
Bromhexine in dog/cat:
1 mg/kg oral q12h
BRONCHODILATORS
Aminophylline in dog:
10 mg/kg oral q6 – 8h
BRONCHODILATORS
Aminophylline in cat;
6 mg/kg oral q12h
BRONCHODILATORS
Aminophylline in horse:
5 – 10 mg/kg oral TID
BRONCHODILATORS
Aminophylline in calf:
0.5 – 1 g/kg oral QID

2 mg/kg oral q8h

Ephedrine in cat;
