Immediate Inference
A statement that can be inferred from another statement
Converse
Switches the subject and the predicate (E,I)
Obverse
Changes the statement to its opposite quality and changes the predicate to its complement
Complement
P is non P (opposite)
(Ex. All S is P = No S is non-P)
Contrapositive
Switches the subject the subject and predicate and changes both terms to their complements (A,O)
Singular statements
Refers to a single, place, or thing
Indefinite statement
Missing the qualifiers (All, No, Some-consider context)
Hypothetical statements
“If… then” statements (universal)

Words that include broad range of things in a statement
