Phishing
A dishonest practice used to attempt to defraud an online account holder of financial information by posing as a legitimate company
Spam
Unsolicited usually commercial email sent to a large number of addresses
Spoofing
Forgery of an email header so that the message appears to have originated from someone or somewhere other than the actual source
Spyware
Software that is installed on the computer without the users knowledge and transmit information about the users computer activities over the Internet
Trojan horse
Seemingly useful computer program that contains concealed instructions that when activated at some later time perform an illicit or malicious action
Virus
Computer program usually hidden within another seemingly and innocuous program that produces copies of itself and insert seminar other programs and that usually performs a malicious action
Worm
A usually small self-contained and self replicating computer program and invades computers on the network and usually performs a malicious action
Antivirus software
Protective software design to defend your computer against malicious software
