Lesson 2: The Inferiority Gap Flashcards
Whats the problem with performance behavior?
It implies that WHO YOU ARE is not good enough for her
What is performance behavior?
Any behavior that is not an expression of your authentic self, but that is an attempt to appear attractive to women
What are the effects of the inferiority gap?
1) we feel like we need to perform
2) we feel unworthy or not good enough
It is possible to get the girl through performance behaviors, learning the right things to say, to text, what to and what not to do etc. but what happens if you get the girl by performing?
If you get a girl by performing, it reinforces the belief that you are not good enough
Feelings of unworthiness cause ______
Anxiety
Across cultures and countries, all women are attracted to ______________
Perceived social status
The perception of status is constant. True or false?
False. The perception of status is relative.
How do women primarily base a mans social status?
By a mans behavior
The potential for success and actual success seem _______ attractive to women.
Equally
What does performance behaviors subcommunicate?
Low status
What is the paradox in dating?
The more you try, the lower status you look, the less attractive you appear.
What is the one way the inferiority gap affects us?
1) we surrender to it and give up. (E.g. “Nice guy syndrome” co-dependent behavior)
Doing everything to please her shows you value her higher than yourself. This subcommunicates low status, which is unattractive to women. Hence, the friend zone.
What is a second way the inferiority gap affects us?
2) Narcissistic behavior. (E.g. Objectifying women, treating women badly.)
What is the problem with Narcissistic behavior?
Narcissistic behavior attracts low self esteem women and results in bad relationships
What is the solution?
Perceive attractive women as equal.
Perceive male and female sexuality as equal
Our goal is to close the inferiority gap
