How is حَاجة used?
The محتاج has a لام حرف جر prefixed to it and the محتاج اليه has إلى حرف جر prefixed to it.
How is the word بُدَّ used?
When it comes with لَا it means necessary. In this case it is necessary to bring مِن before the thing that is necessary and a لام حرف جر on the one whom it is necessary.
- I have no need for eating at all.
لَا حَاجَةَ لِيْ إِلَى الأَكْلِ اَصْلًا
- Zayd will need to go to the house.
لَا بُدَّ لِزَيْدٍ مِنَ الذَّهَابِ إِلَى السُّوْقِ
- There is no person here.
لَا رَجُلَ هٰهُنَا
- Khalid has no knowledge.
خَالِدٌ لَا عِلْمَ لَهُ أَصْلًا
- Writing is necessary for Zayd.
لَا بُدَّ لِزَيْدٍ مِنَ الْكِتَابَةِ
- Bakr has no need for you.
لَا حَاجَةَ لِبَكْرٍ إِلَيْكَ
- There is no dust on the paper.
لَا غُبَارَ عَلَى الْقِرْطَاسِ
- The students will have to go to school.
لَا بُدَّ لِلْمُتَعَلِّمِيْنَ مِنَ الذَّهَابِ إِلَى الْمَدْرَسَةِ
- Umar has no rupees.
لَا رُوْبِيَّةَ عِنْدَ عَمْرٍو
- You are unknowing.
أَنْتَ عَدِيْمُ الْعِلْمِ
- Zayd’s uncle has no understanding.
خَالُ زَيْدٍ عَدِيْمُ الْفَهْمِ
- Our paternal uncle needs some rupees.
لِعَمِّنَا حَاجَةٌ إِلَى رُوْبِيَّةٍ
- Bring me a candle and a lantern.
